This cross-curricular picture book companion for Throw Your Tooth on the Roof: Tooth Traditions from Around the World by Selby B. Beeler (not included) helps elementary students explore how children in different countries celebrate losing a tooth.
Students will discover that while losing a baby tooth is a shared childhood experience, the traditions connected to it can look very different around the world. Some children leave a tooth for a fairy or mouse, place it in a slipper, or throw it toward a roof or the sun.
